Admissions

Several students sit in a cozy library setting, engaged in a group discussion. They are surrounded by bookshelves, plants, and green armchairs, creating a comfortable academic environment.

Prospective Freshmen

Prospective students interested in pursuing the Game Development and Design Program should apply for admission as an undergraduate. You must first be admitted to UT Austin prior to participating in the Game Development and Design courses. Furthermore, in your application to UT Austin, you should specify one of the following areas of study as your first choice: Arts and Entertainment Technologies, Computer Science, or Radio-Television-Film. These specific departments each have their own admission requirements and curriculum.  Contact the departments for further information.
