For those pursing degrees in other majors, another option for prospective students is the Bridging Disciplines Program in Digital Arts and Media, which will allow you take many courses across the departments and be considered for the Game Dev Capstone.
Prospective students interested in pursuing the Game Development and Design Program should apply for admission as an undergraduate. You must first be admitted to UT Austin prior to acceptance into the Game Development and Design Program. Furthermore, in your application to UT Austin, you should specify one of the following areas of study as your first choice: Arts and Entertainment Technologies, Computer Science, or Radio-Television-Film. These specific departments each have their own admission requirements.

The departments of AET, CS, and RTF offer courses applicable to the Game Development and Design Program that ultimately lead to the Capstone Course.
