Hours: 10-20 per week, Mondays – Fridays during normal office hours, about 150 hours for Spring Semester.
Description of duties and responsibilities:
Marketing Interns will develop and implement communications plans with Colorado River Foundation constituents, media, and the general public. This will include press releases, Facebook and Twitter, developing marketing collateral in cooperation with graphic designers, generating e-newsletter, maintaining website, and developing media lists and press kits.
The Marketing Intern will have an opportunity to work on the following: market CRF programs to partner organizations, community calendars, and CRF database constituents, create marketing collateral in cooperation with graphic designers and CRF staff, generate e-newsletter, maintain information on CRF website, and maintain CRF media list and press kit.
Skills and knowledge requirements:
Applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours at a college or university. Positions available for undergrad and graduate students.
Preferred skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communications skills; comfortable interacting with community leaders
- Highly organized and able to work closely with others
Student learning opportunities:
Interns will gain much insight into the day-to-day operations of a small environmental nonprofit organization. Interns will learn how to: market CRF programs, develop relationships with partner organizations, and maintain communications with constituent and volunteer databases.

This is a great position for those passionate about working with the community and the Texas Colorado River! Please note: selected interns must have reliable transportation to CRF offices in Austin, TX.
