Internship at fitppl- spring 2018

fitppl is a collective of individuals with a vested interest in crafting products that are better for people and better for the planet. We are the first environmentally-proactive company in the food and supplement space taking measurable action to combat the pollution epidemic. Requirements and responsibilities: We need a PR/Marketing intern to help gain exposure through print, online, podcast, social, and any other medium. Responsibilities will be identifying and connecting with online outlets, publications, blogs, podcast, and people (through social such as instagram and snapchat) to share/feature our company mission and products. You will have a dedicated fitppl email address and creative freedom to accomplish PR/Marketing task as you see fits. We will offer guidance when needed. We are looking for a creative thinker who is a self starter that can accomplish tasks without much guidance. Someone who can bring a fresh perspective on how to build buzz through traditional and up and coming outlets.

Forklift Danceworks Internships- Spring 2018 and Summer 2018

Internships

We are always looking for interns to join the Forklift team! Joining our team represents an incredible opportunity to play an active role in the artistic process and to work closely with Forklift artists. Forklift staff provides professional and personal support and incorporates intern feedback to provide a positive learning experience.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Take initiative and be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Be flexible, willing to take on a range of tasks, and ready to respond in the moment
  • Demonstrate skills relevant to three key pillars of the Forklift process: curiosity, close listening, and artistic excellence
  • Maintain a positive attitude in the face of long hours, rehearsals at the pool (in the summer heat), and variability of assigned tasks
  • Be confident in managing personal responsibilities while working effectively as a team
  • Be rigorous in their attention to detail
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with openness to growth (as relationship-building is central to the Forklift process)
  • Have a basic working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, GSuite, iMovie & FinalCut Pro (familiarity working with databases is beneficial but not required)

Spring 2018

We are currently looking for an intern to join the team for spring 2018! Forklift term-time interns will play an integral role in the day-to-day administrative and artistic operations of our small and dynamic arts non-profit. Interns will be expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Assistance in securing housing for out-of-town candidates may be available.

Our internship application for Spring 2018 is available HERE. The application must be submitted on or before January 14th, 2018. All candidates will be contacted and informed of their application status during the week of January 15th.

Summer 2018

Summer interns will deeply engage with the work of a particular administrative department while simultaneously participating in the artistic process of creating and presenting a site-specific, community-based performance in July 2018. Interns should be flexible and ready to take on a range of roles, with a focus on their area of interest and expertise. Interns will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, although we would prefer for interns to work full-time (up to 40 hrs / wk) if possible. Assistance in securing housing for interns may be provided if possible.

Our internship application for Summer 2018 is available HERE. The application must be submitted on or before February 1st, 2018. All candidates will be contacted and informed of their application status during the week of February 12th.

We’re looking for interns in the following departments:

  • Production (Rehearsal Assistance & Stage Management)
  • Community Engagement
  • Communications (Photo, Video, & Social Media)
  • Development and Office Management

  • Working closely with a pair of expert artists committed to art-making as social practice
  • Exposure to all aspects of nonprofit operations with a small and dynamic team, allowing for connection with all senior employees and opportunities to try out a range of roles
  • Participation in Forklift’s distinctive process of co-choreography, including active stage management and production support for My Park, My Pool, My City performances in July
  • Opportunity to take on major responsibility for aspects of development and production, if desired
  • Mentorship from lead artists and administrators, and a tight-knit community of employees, interns, and neighborhood partners

Academic Credit & Stipends

We frequently work with college students interested in gaining experience working with a non-profit arts organization and will work with candidates to secure academic credit with your college or university. We may be able to provide local candidates with a small stipend.

Party at the Moontower Event Rentals- Spring 2018 Internship!

Party at the Moontower is a design-forward event rentals company. We focus on Austin modern furniture — eclectic, fun, and memorable. We’ve worked with companies like Create + Cultivate, SXSW, Bunkhouse, and Bossbabes! 

 

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and organized Creative Business Intern for Spring 2018. 

You could be doing things like…

– Outfitting spaces

– Learning how a small business operates from operations to sales

– Attending events

– Assisting with photoshoots 

This is a hands-on internship + we love to have fun, but we take our work seriously! The average time commitment for this position is 10 hours per week with flexible hours. 

 

Qualifications

– Be a college student and/or seeking college credit

– Wants to learn about events, design, or business

– Art/Design background preferred
