Film Journalist/Asst. Videographer at the Environmental Science

Job Description: The Film Journalist (FJ) will help organize, film, and
produce original video content for the purpose of communicating the many
interesting science and sustainability efforts around the UT campus. The
main task of the FJ will be to help produce original film content: which
includes planing and conducting video interviews, capturing footage
(b-roll) and audio of projects/activities/environment, and editing the
content to craft short (1-5min) film productions. The current focus of
our efforts is communicating about the Green Fee Sustainability Projects
underway around campus (see example works below). The FJ will have the
chance to explore the UT campus and interface with other students,
faculty, scientists, and a number of organizations/campus activities,
while working with communications equipment and concepts.
Requirements: Proficiency using video and audio equipment, experience
with Final Cut Pro (or similar) video editor, able to conduct interviews,
interest in crafting compelling narratives using audio and video media
Time Requirements: Part-time / Assignment based (Flexible schedule!)
Rate: Hourly (estimated $10)
