Who We Are

Malice Media is a multi-faceted media company that focuses on talent management & booking. What started as a shared passion for retro gaming blossomed into a thriving business venture. Our journey began with the launch of a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing our expertise and experiences in collecting and selling games and has morphed into what it is today. Leveraging our expertise, we empower talents of all sizes to expand their reach and gain exposure. From curating captivating social media strategies to securing high-profile opportunities, we’re dedicated to guiding individuals toward broader recognition and success.

About The Internship

As a member of the Spring 2025 Malice Media internship group, your contribution will play a pivotal role in shaping out internship experience as we enter our second semester, ensuring its continued success for years to come! The internship will last for the span of UT Austin’s Spring semester, January 13th through May 5th. This role will be hybrid, with much of the work able to be done remote but encouraged to be on-site. On-site is in Pflugerville, working out of the home of General Malice. Carpooling to on-site is encouraged.

Our Team

At Malice Media we look to offer mentorship and consulting services and represent talent in a fair manner, fostering a positive work environment. We look to put forth quality work and prepare our interns for entering the workforce.

Your Role

As a Writing Intern you will have the opportunity to write articles and play and review a variety of games that will be published for the Old School Gamer Magazine. Alongside this you will research and source media for use in the articles. You’ll report to your supervisor who will give you direction and keep you in contact with the publisher.

What You’ll Do:

●Write and research articles for publishing.

●Play and review games.

●Source ancillary media for articles.

●Write pieces for the company website.

●Collaborate with others.

What You’ll Need:

●Growth mindset, passion for learning new technologies and skills.

●Awesome technical and personal communication skills.

●Highly responsive attitude, collaborative and supportive of team members.

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

●A passion for video games.

●Previous experience in writing articles or essays.

●A passion for video games.

As a Graphic Design Intern you will have the opportunity to create materials for Malice Media, our talent, and other clients. You’ll report to your supervisor who will give you direction on what projects to do and you’ll work with clients to create materials they need.

What You’ll Do:

●Create graphic designs for websites, promotional materials, marketing, videos, press kits, and more.

●Need to collaborate with others on designs to make cohesive and quality designs.

●Interact with company partners and talent to create content that fits their needs.

●Follow design standards laid out by clients and the company.

What You’ll Need:

●Growth mindset, passion for learning new technologies and skills.

●Awesome technical and personal communication skills.

●Highly responsive attitude, collaborative and supportive of team members.

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

●A passion for video games.

●Previous experience in graphic design.
