Austin Resource Recovery Seeking Research Intern

Austin Resource Recover is seeking a full- or part-time research intern to research the effectiveness of city ordinances and provide reports.

Responsibilities:
Interview and document effects to local businesses, residents, and recycling facilities.
Research and document effects on local environment and waterways.
Present findings to a public citizen commission.

Qualifications:
Student pursuing BS/BA or Masters Degree
Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills

Austin EcoNetwork Seeking Editorial Intern

The EcoNetwork is excited to announce that they are looking to expand the Austin EcoNews team! They are currently searching for an editorial intern to help EcoNews editor, Amy Stansbury, with the production of the EcoNews. AEN’s editorial intern will have the opportunity to jump right into the action, writing blogs and assisting in the production of the EcoNews. Summer 2015 Internships with Zappos!

When you intern with Zappos, you get more than just “real world work experience.” You become part of our family. In addition to being paid an hourly rate, Zappos summer interns receive free food and drinks on our campus, access to social and community service events, 40% off on Zappos.com and may qualify for corporate housing and transition assistance.

How to Qualify for a 2015 Summer Internship:
  • Must currently be enrolled as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited university in pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Must be a Junior/Senior that will graduate between May 2015 – June 2016.
  • Must be able to relocate to Las Vegas from Monday, June 15th, 2015 – Friday, August 14th, 2015 (9 weeks) for the duration of the internship. (Don’t worry, we won’t make you hitchhike. We will assist with relocation and housing!).

Students who are currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a projected graduation date that falls between May 2015 and June 2016 are eligible to apply for our summer internships. We are looking for significant coursework or extracurricular work in the targeted area. Above all, we look for candidates who can be stewards of our most important asset, our culture. We created ten core values to more clearly define what exactly the Zappos Family culture is. When searching for potential employees, we’re looking for people who both understand the need for these core values and are willing to embrace and embody them.

Internships Available:

Merchandising

We help buy the stuff, trend and forecast what gets sold on our website. (We shop and crunch the numbers for products!)

Technology

We build, maintain and manage the website. (Some say we are trendy nerds!)

Business

We keep the company operating from the corporate side. (We run the numbers, market, and hire!)
