logo-2Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS)

For 110 years, Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) has been heeding Jesus’ call to care for children and families in need. Through our continuum of care, we help children and families move from despair to hope, equipping each child and parent to reshape their future in ways previously unimagined. With faithful support from numerous individuals, congregations and foundations, we’ll continue to fulfill our mission, serving over 4,500 children and families in need each year.

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services provides Christ-centered care and support to children and families in need.

Responsibilities:  As much as possible, duties will be tailored to the intern’s interests. Projects could include: working with the Director of Communications to develop and implement a marketing campaign; updating the website with WordPress content management software; implementing social media strategies; writing newsletter articles and blog posts; designing brochures/ads; perform other communications duties as assigned (based on ability and the intern’s interest).

Requirements/qualifications: Highly self-motivated, mature, organized, detail-oriented student pursuing a degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing or Marketing Communications. (This position is also open to recent college graduates). PCHAS seeks a candidate who is passionate about his/her work, someone who is responsible and professional and is able to take initiative and work independently and as part of a team. The Communications Associate should have a strong desire to learn. Prior office experience is helpful, but not required. Experience with WordPress content management system and PhotoShop is helpful, but not required.

Colorado River Alliance Fall Internships

Looking for a fun internship opportunity related to environmental science, education and community service? The Colorado River Alliance has several internships available for the Fall 2016 term! Internships are unpaid but are available for academic credit. Interns are expected to commit at least 15 hours a week, but we’ll develop a schedule that works for you!

Environmental Education Internship
Our education internships are highly organized, fast paced, powerful professional development experiences for people who wish to enter the environmental education field, or “round out” their backgrounds as they prepare for science careers.  This internship’s core is environmental education with schoolchildren, but our interns work on a wide variety of projects including environmental education event management, data warehousing and analysis, and curriculum development.
Community & Special Events Internship
Participate in the Alliance community events and fundraisers – including banquets, festivals, and speaking events. Help includes sponsorship solicitation, event set up and more. The best part – most of these events occur in the evening or on the weekends – perfect for someone with a busy work schedule.

For more information about interning with the Alliance, please visit our website or contact geoff @ coloradoriver.org
