The Office of Sustainability seeks a current student to support the tracking of information about the active Green Fee projects from September 2011 to the present day. This student will first tie up loose threads from 2011-2012 including ‘chasing’ missing annual reports and ensuring that all media and publicity related to the projects is safely archived. The program associate will also work with the 2012-2013 projects and grantees, requesting and reviewing mid-term reports, meeting with grantees to check on progress, and archiving project-related media. The intern will assist with posting publicity for the 2013 grant application as well as preparations for the review process.
Currently, the job is scheduled only through May 25th. If continued employment is desirable, summer work would include site visits, planning signage locations, and other miscellaneous tasks. Intern will work 10-12 hours/week in the spring with limited summer work available (averaging 5 hrs/week). Wage is $10/hour.
Qualifications: Undergraduate student with good academic standing, any major; strong interest in sustainability & the environment; good basic project management skills such as scheduling, establishing short-term and long-term objectives and task lists; clear communication in speaking and writing, and willingness to interact proactively with grantees on the phone and in person.
To apply: send resume and cover letter to greenfee@austin.utexas.edu.
