seeks interns to assist directors and co-directors organize the Autism Bike Ride event taking place on Sunday April 21st. You, a self-starter, organized and motivated with exceptional communications skills are needed to assist with publicity, collating, coordinating and liaising to get this event for a great cause off the ground. A variety of roles are available specific to the Bike Ride ranging from social media, outreach, authorized outreach and purchases, onsite support at buzz parties, packet pick ups, and serving as a support team member on ride day, April 21st. Volunteer captains are needed to lead bike course flaggers, parking helpers, packet pickup people or registration crew. Support needed pre and post ride with messaging and follow up.Similar support with social media and messaging needed for Amplify Austin (Austin’s first day of online giving), to take place Mar. 4-5, 2013.
Year round opportunities available to interact with families and individuals affected by autism. The Autism Society is the nation’s oldest Autism-related organization, dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Autism, one day at a time. This is accomplished through education and awareness, free information and referral, support, programming, and advocacy.
