The UT Micro Farm is UT’s first student run, on-campus farm where organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers are grown for local farmers’
markets and a neighborhood food shelter.
The Micro Farm is currently seeking student interns to fill the positions of fundraiser/event planner and media designer, as well as general team volunteers for farm duties (ie, composting) and development duties (ie, blogging, media, and donation acquisition).
Additionally, the UT Micro Farm can be a site for students who wish to conduct research related to design, sustainable agriculture, education, etc. In fact, the founder of the UT Micro Farm was a BDP student who spent a semester researching and planning the implementation of the Micro Farm as a research Connecting Experience!
