Undergraduate Internship Opportunity

Spring-Summer 2014

Job Description for Internship

Relevant information:

  • Internship is unpaid for the first semester and pays $1000 for the second summer semester upon completion. Completion of the first semester is through May 31st. Second semester is optional, and to be decided together.
  • Time required is 15 hours/week during the school year; 30 hours/week in summer.
  • In-office hours required: 10 hours/week – during school year; 30 hours/week – summer.
  • Flextime is encouraged, beyond set office hours.
  • The business is entrepreneurial.
  • Each intern will be assigned specific projects in alignment with learning goals.
  • Intern needs to have a laptop.
  • Intern must have transportation to and from the office
  • Intern needs to be self directed and self starter – even though we have been in business for 12 years, we are a small entrepreneurial company. We are, for the most part, a virtual company, so often you will be working in the office alone, yet will have weekly meetings with your manager.

The intern will assist in:

  • Research for book on supply chain responsibility.
  • Tasks related to content development for CSR Group product/service offering.
  • Developing marketing materials for CSR Group’s product/service offering.
  • Working on overall database marketing, development of presentations, and development and delivery of workshops.
  • Development and implementation of social media
  • Keeping up to date on latest developments in CSR/Ethics/Sustainability, and making recommendations to the company and clients.
  • Completing general errands and administrative tasks.
  • Other projects as they arise.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Business school students, or Bridging Disciplines Students with business experience.
  • Some working experience required, preferably within the areas of consulting, supply chain, marketing, strategy, or non-profit.  If not, substantiate why we should make an exception.
  • Personal passion to work in the areas of Corporate Ethics/CSR/Sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
  • Self-starter, self-disciplined required (really!).
  • Innovative and creative mind-set preferred.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Start-up or emerging company experience preferred.
