The Colorado River Alliance cordially invites students to apply for spring 2015 Environmental Education Internships! These are powerful professional development experiences for those who wish to become highly trained environmental educators, stewardship event managers, and well-rounded STEM professionals.
The Colorado River Alliance (the Alliance) is a nonprofit organization established in 1994 to support natural science education and environmental stewardship programs. The Alliance organizes education and community projects, which protect our natural environment along the Texas Colorado River.
Environmental Education Interns are responsible for:
- Assisting with the development of STEM educational programs for grades 3-5.
- Effectively communicating water science curriculum.
- Managing various science-based outreach programs including environmental restoration projects, clean- ups & organic gardening.
- Data management and analysis including: data warehousing, statistics & reports.*Internships have customizable components to fit specific interests, goals & needs of the intern.
Internships are unpaid but are available for academic credit. Interns are expected to perform duties at our office in Austin. The Alliance is a small organization, so interns take on significant roles and responsibilities that are impressive on a resume.
Interns needed Tuesday through Friday during regular business hours for 15+ hours per week.
To apply for a 2014 internship with the Alliance, please send a completed intern application available at www.coloradoriver.org along with resume and letter of interest to geoff@coloradoriver.org. Applications also accepted via email or in-person.
All internships will begin at the start of each semester.
