1. Documentary Film Distribution and Marketing Internship
Description:
Throughout the semester, Fiege Films will be preparing festival submissions and beginning outreach and other activities related to theatrical and digital releases of our feature documentary Above All Else. Interns will work closely with the producers to assist in the development and realization of the film’s distribution, including working with partner organizations, scheduling screenings, and producing marketing material. Duties may include conducting research on festivals and venues, drafting press releases and other marketing material, and planning and placing announcements, videos, and images on social media platforms.
We also hold social events outside of work, such as happy hours and screenings, in which interns have a chance to spend more time with other interns and with professionals in the Austin film world.

Requirements: Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with Office software, web and social media platforms, and marketing concepts. An interest in environmental and social justice issues. Experience with Photoshop and Final Cut Pro is a plus.
2. Documentary Production Internship
Description: Fiege Films seeks interns to assist with development and production of documentary film projects. We have several Texas-based social justice documentary projects in development as well as a feature documentary,Above All Else, which recently premiered at SXSW and is starting its distribution life cycle. Interns may assist with research and writing tasks relevant to development and distribution, assist with grant research and preparation, as well as opportunities to work as second camera operators, sound recordists, editors, and PAs on both documentary and commercial shoots through summer. We also hold social events outside of work, such as happy hours and screenings, in which interns have a chance to spend more time with other interns and with professionals in the Austin film world.

Requirements: Proficiency in editing with Final Cut Pro, strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in film production, and interest in environmental and social justice issues. Web experience is a plus.
3. Documentary Film Social Media and Web Internship
Description: Fiege Films seeks interns to assist with social media and marketing outreach for the company and our documentary film projects. Our current project explores the story of a direct action campaign waged in East Texas to stop construction of the Keystone XL pipeline—a journey that starts with one man’s determination to keep his family safe and leads to questions about climate change and civic participation. Throughout the spring, Fiege Films will seek to increase its reach on social media and Web platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and its own website. Interns will work closely with the production team to write and edit posts, create media to share online, interact with environmentalist leaders online, and design visual content for the Web. Interns will also work as a team, providing a chance to get to know your peers.

Requirements: Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Photoshop and/or Illustrator or InDesign. Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in graphic design, photo editing and film production. Experience in Web design and coding a plus.
Location: Austin, TX
Dates: January 20, 2015 – May 8, 2015 (UT Spring Session, although dates are flexible)
Hours per week: 10 hrs/week or more
