Health Equity Grants Intern
The Office of Minority Health and Health Equity at the HHSC Center for Elimination of Disproportionality and Disparities is seeking an intern for Spring 2015 that is interested in the advancement of health equity in Texas. The internship entails researching grant opportunities, researching demographics and local statistics for use in grants, and writing federal and foundation grant applications in collaboration with staff members.

Help us increase our grants portfolio to advance health equity in Texas! Gain skills and knowledge in state government systems level work, grant writing, social determinants of health, and the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities.
Time Commitment
Available to work for a minimum of 20 hours/week during the M-F work week during the Spring 2015 semester.
Qualifications
· Enrolled in The Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDPs) at The University of Texas at Austin
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Strong communication skills
· Good writer
· Organized
· Attention to detail
· Passionate about health equity!
