Work in a fast-paced communications office that supports the work of 71 local members programs across the state of Texas. Assist with writing and pitching news releases, research and write stories for electronic and print distribution, assist with social media efforts, interview CASA volunteers and former foster youth, assist with media relations and special events and produce electronic newsletters.
Your work here will beef up your resume with real-world experience and you’ll have a chance to make a difference for abused or neglected children. The ideal intern is one with a passion for serving others who is looking for an opportunity to improve his/her skills and gain valuable experience.
Sophomore or higher level majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, advertising or journalism.
