MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT INTERN

Are you a dynamic and motivated local food lover who’s passionate about our community and sustainability, and who loves sharing that enthusiasm with others? We need you!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest in local food systems and passion for supporting access to healthy food for everyone in our community.
- Degree or coursework in public relations, marketing, communications, business administration, non-profit management, or related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (speaking, writing, and digital).
- Able to represent Sustainable Food Center publicly.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and high energy level.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram required.
DUTIES:
Work approximately 10 hours per week to implement marketing and development plan to support audience engagement and retention, including the following tasks:
- Grassroots promotion in neighborhoods and downtown areas.
- Plan and produce social media content to keep audience engaged, informed, and inspired.
- Assist in producing marketing collateral materials such as postcards, flyers, recipes, parking signs, etc.
- Help plan and coordinate special events.
- Interface with customers at the farmers’ market, wellness fairs and events to promote SFC mission and programming.
- Work with partners, chefs, and volunteers as needed for outreach opportunities.
- Participate in marketing and development meetings.
- Some data entry required.
