Social Media Internship with Charity Charge
Making a positive impact is deeply rooted in the DNA of our company. Charity Charge is a Public Benefit Corporation, meaning we pledged to meet higher standards of corporate purpose, sustainability, transparency and accountability. Our mission is to help people give back in a simple, easy, everyday way, to charities of THEIR choice. We are creating a credit card that donates the reward points to any registered 501(c)(3) charity, religious organization and K-12 school in the United States. We have teamed up with Network for Good a leading online giving platform that has processed over $1 billion in donations for over 100,000 nonprofits since 2001.
Additionally, our app will allow you to search by cause, region or non profit, support multiple charities, displaying the tangible, trackable impact you’ve contributed. We pitched at South by Southwest Eco in March and were recently selected by IBM as one of the top ten millennial social startups in the country. This entered us into IBM’s pitch competition during SXSW. Advancing to the final round, the action will be documented in a series of webisodes to demonstrate how the five social startups work with IBM to transform big ideas into big change airing in July.
We are a startup, this is an unpaid internship, but we are young & fun and are putting a positive dent in the universe which is priceless.
