Fall Internships with the Colorado River Alliance

3 Internship Positions Available for the following:

Mobile River Environmental Education Intern- Amazing Teaching Opportunity

Location:  Austin Middle School Campuses

Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, flexible scheduling

Description: Help deliver a state-of-the art, million dollar mobile river education system to 7th grade students all over Austin! This air-conditioned 42-foot trailer has extending slide-outs housing seven different interactive exhibits about the Texas Colorado River Watershed, Pollution and Solutions, Water Resources Management, Austin’s Underground Water System, an Interactive Electronic Game, and more!

We are looking for enthusiastic environmental education interns to help students interact with these exhibits at Austin Independent School District Middle School campuses from September – December 2015. Campus visits are held Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Interns commit 15-20 hours per week, and are part of a dynamic environmental non-profit whose staff is committed to professional development.

This is a fantastic professional and personal development opportunity for those who are passionate about water, our environment, education, or wish to complement their science background.

Sales & Account Manger Internship with Hooked App

Hooked is a mobile app that provides real-time food and drink deals on and around college campuses. Everyday 1,000’s of users check Hooked to discover new restaurants and take advantage of exclusive deals. The deals on Hooked are based on your location and only last 1-5 hours. Using geo-location, customers can only unlock these deals when they are inside the business. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner the deals are always changing keeping the app looking fresh!
Want to be a part of a fast-growing startup? We are hiring 1 sales/account managing intern to join the Hooked team for the Fall, 2015 semester!
We are looking for a hard-working student who will be responsible for 1) Signing up restaurants, bars, and coffee shops to launch on Hooked, 2) Collaborating with business owners to create exciting deals for Hooked users, 3) Setting up marketing events to raise awareness about Hooked, 4) Maintaining and building relationships with Hooked business owners.
As a sales intern you are not just told what to do. We encourage original ideas and are always seeking creative ways to improve. Your constant collaboration with the VP of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer will allow you the opportunity to put your creative mind to the test.
At Hooked we’re looking for someone who is excited about the opportunity to learn and grow as an individual.

• Effective communication skills

Resource Development Intern (Kodosky Service Center, Austin)
Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) is a dynamic youth leadership organization with an $8.2M annual budget headquartered in Austin, Texas.  GSCTX currently has openings for two energetic and capable Resource Development Interns to assist and support the resource development department in its efforts to capture 50,000 users of Google’s Made with Code and in its efforts to create sustainable giving campaigns.  GSCTX is headquartered in North Austin and serves 46 Central Texas Counties.  The Resource Development Executive, based in the Great Austin area, will focus fundraising efforts on the following Texas counties: Travis, Hays, Williamson, Blanco, Burnet, Llano, Gillespie, Caldwell, and Bastrop Counties. Graphic Design Intern (Kodosky Service Center, Austin)
The Marketing Department seeks an unpaid, design intern to assist with the creation of graphic elements. Applicants should be familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign and have a desire to work on a wide variety of projects. Internships are part-time and are available fall, spring and summer. Pending school approval, academic credit is available for compensation. See more.

Public Relations Intern (Kodosky Service Center, Austin)
The Marketing Department seeks 1-2 unpaid, PR interns to assist with all functions of the marketing department with an emphasis on media relations and content development. Applicants should have strong writing skills, strong speaking skills and be customer service-minded. Internships are part-time and are available fall, spring and summer. Social Media Intern (Kodosky Service Center, Austin)
The Marketing Department seeks an unpaid, PR interns to assist with all function of the marketing department with an emphasis on social media and content development for online materials. Applicants should have strong writing skills, be customer service-minded and have a basic understanding of web development tools. Internships are part-time and are available fall, spring and summer.
