A Glimmer of Hope helps lift women and children out of extreme poverty in Ethiopia.
Our model focuses on four areas of development: water, health, education, and microfinance. We have spent more than a decade on the ground in rural Ethiopia. Our experience and the knowledge that we have gained from indigenous Ethiopian development organizations has shown us that the integration of these four sectors provides those living in extreme poverty with the best chance of improving their lives.
Glimmer is looking for a Communications Intern who will assist in a variety of communications and marketing projects and help organize our media content. You will be asked to contribute to ongoing team projects that focus on efficient and engaging communication with Glimmer’s supporters.
position:
- Contribute to projects that enhance Glimmer’s communications to our donors through writing, storytelling, synthesis of programs information, and more
- Create organization systems for our media content libraries
- Help build Glimmer’s presence online
- Assist with research related to Glimmer’s marketing and communications
- Write and edit copy; assist with visual storytelling
- Assist with other media projects as needed
- Execute tasks on quick deadlines

you’re tech savvy and an AP stylebook wizard. You’re computer literate with Mac experience including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You love grammar and know where to put an Oxford comma. Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign or Google AdWords is a plus, but not required.
