Dance Another World Internship Description
Dance Another World is an English immersion program taught through dance. The program is offered to non-native English speaking students: primarily young girls from lower socioecomic areas in our community. Dance Another World serves as an after-school activity in the Austin Independent School District and in Cedars International Academy. Classes and workshops are held at various Parks and Recreation Centers and we work with other like-minded organizations such as SafePlace, Refugee Services of Texas, and Girls Empowerment Network. Using methods such as Content Based Instruction and Total Physical Response, our students learn English confidentially through the therapeutic medium of dance.
