We are looking for a student to join our Dysautonomia Headquarters team as our Creative Consultant intern. Our Clinical Director has written a book on Pediatric Dysautonomia that will be published in July.  Along with the book launch, we are creating a website, generating Dysautonomia support groups and planning a one day Dysautonomia conference in Austin.  We need a creative consultant intern to create a logo for the Dysautonomia Headquarters project that will be the signifying marker of our program, as well as create a website, flyers for the different events including support groups and conferences. One flyer will be a comprehensive informational flyer to be distributed at medical conferences worldwide, promoting our clinician’s book, Pediatric and Adolescent Dysautonomia, that will be published in July.  With these tools we hope to provide resource information, educational elements, and support to those interested in learning more about pediatric and adolescent Dysautonomia.  We need an enthusiastic self starter with graphic design skills, web design interest [if not skills, a “I’ll figure it out” attitude], and a keen eye for overall gorgeous design.

See our clinician’s book on amazon here http://amzn.to/21TZZuK

Students will gain the experience of working with nonprofit executives in a professional setting. They will learn to work hands on with executives in the review and editing portions of the approval process. Students will also be granted the opportunity of their work being displayed at national medical conferences as well as recognition for their work.   We have an awesome 4 person Dysautonomia team that is enthusiastic and fun to work with.

The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development is a local nonprofit organization that provides clinical services to children with autism and other developmental delays. We have an interdisciplinary team that provides diagnostic, medical, nutritional, and behavioral services, as well as offering social skills training, sibling camps, family counseling, free webinars, and special events for the community.

If students are interested, please have them contact info@johnson-center.org with a copy of your resume, cover letter and link to an online portfolio if available.
