Kids in a New Groove Summer Internships

Kids in a New Groove provides Texas youth in foster care with a committed one-on-one mentoring relationship through weekly private music instruction.
Program & Grant Writing Internship- 
Description:
KING is seeking a motivated individual who will assist with program related metrics collection and analysis as well as the grant seeking and writing process. Hours are flexible between the 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a 10 hour weekly commitment required.

Responsibilities:

  • Research new funding opportunities for Kids in a New Groove
  • Assist in maintaining records of ongoing, past and upcoming grants
  • Assist in the grant writing process for upcoming grants
  • Assist in collecting defined metrics for each student, including surveys from students, teachers, foster parents and caseworkers
  • Assist in entering student lesson information and metrics into Salesforce

SPECIAL EVENTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP

Description: 
KING is seeking an intern to assist with all facets of special event planning and social media to market KING’s programs and fundraisers. Hours are flexible between the 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a 10 hour weekly commitment required.

Responsibilities:

  • Create/Upkeep a social media plan utilizing Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that promotes upcoming events and aspects of the KING program through social media
  • Create Social Media Kits for each event for staff and board members to utilize and promote through their own social media avenues
  • Assist in creating monthly online newsletters for KING supports and donors via Emma
  • Assist in event planning and promotion/marketing of all KING events (i.e. KING Concert Club, Student Workshops, Music Matters Luncheon, etc.) by creating save the dates/invitations, assisting in seeking out silent auction items, assisting in creating event marketing materials, etc.

SEO/Content Marketing Internship

Location: Austin, TX

The Opportunity

RoverPass is now hiring a communications and marketing interns to directly assist our Marketing Manager in creating revolutionary marketing campaigns within the RV and campground industries! The candidate must share our passion for travel and outdoor recreation. The internship will be a very hands-on opportunity, allowing the intern access to our tools, expertise and processes to enable education through action.

Responsibilities

The intern will be responsible for assisting our Marketing Manager in the execution RoverPass content, social and media campaigns. Some of the responsibilities will consist of:

  • Assisting in the development of content roadmaps
  • Writing, formatting and publishing content
  • Identifying opportunities to reach our target communities in creative and new ways.
  • Assist in the promotion of RoverPass content and brand announcements.
  • Leveraging social media to reach our demographic, create opportunities and expose the RoverPass brand.
  • Researching and preparing new and interactive content publishing methods
  • Communicating directly with potential partners, subscribers, users and clients.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Possesses excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills (writing samples are a plus!)
  • Eager to work with a close-knit team and participate in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (e-mail, MS Office)
  • Is prepared and excited to brainstorm and actively participate in pursuing excellence, pushing boundaries and practicing innovation
  • Has a thirst for the outdoors and an understanding of the motivations for living in an RV and traveling as a lifestyle
  • Understands motorhome terms and/or is willing to learn

Globe Kick is a new-age travel company that seeks to facilitate remote-based living and working experiences for the next generation of worker. Many employees and workers today are freelancers or have the ability to work outside of the office environment, meaning they can work from anywhere in the world. Globe Kick is the company that will help these workers live and work remotely from Europe, Africa, Asia and beyond.

We are looking for a summer interns that are interested in changing the way the world works. Those that are excited by the new economy that allows people to work remotely and who are also excited about different cultures and travel. We are looking to launch or inaugural trip–three months, three cities and thirty workers–this fall and need dedicated hard-working interns to help us get off the ground.

The social media intern will join an open-minded, easy-to-work with group of young professionals in a fun work environment.

The intern should be entrepreneurial, honest, self motivated, organized and reliable.  The interns primary duties would involve the management and distribution of content (videos, pictures and articles) for one or more social channels.  A secondary component of the role would be using our social handles to get into conversations which exist outside our community.

Manage Content

– Be the voice of Globe Kick. Help cultivate a community through our topics and messaging

– Build and schedule content distribution for your assigned channel(s)

Community Management

– Engage with community, answering questions, and showing attention to all mentions

– Explore ideas for how to engage and expand the community through campaigns or posts with a request for action

Social Listening & Outreach

– Engage with users and companies outside of our community. 

– The social media intern will need to explore keywords and hashtags to discover relevant discussions to be a part of.

– Examples of future projects would include a weekly show hosted on YouTube or Google Hangout, guest interviews, etc.

– Find and manage relationships with guest bloggers who align with our messaging.
