As the Title X grantee in Texas, Women’s Health and Family Planning Association of Texas (WHFPT), through its provider network, assists individuals in determining the number and spacing of their children. This promotes positive birth outcomes and healthy families. The outreach, education, and clinical services available in Title X funded clinic settings facilitate the achievement of these goals.

Job Summary: The Research and Evaluation Intern will support the development of WHFPT’s performance management system, as well as specific evaluation needs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the Texas Title X program. This is an unpaid internship with a 10-20 hour a week commitment.

Qualifications:
- Experienced with data entry, collection, analysis, and reporting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; some experience with SPSS or other statistical software preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
- Able to problem solve, make decisions, and set priorities.
- Possess an interest in research, data analysis, or a career in nonprofit.
- Responsible, flexible, hard-working, ethical, and committed to WHFPT’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry, management, cleaning, and quality control.
- Contribute to data analysis.
- Prepares quarterly and annual data reports for internal use, federal reports, and distribution.
- Stays current with governmental and regulatory requirements affecting family planning.
- Maintain professional appearance, behavior, attitude, and integrity.
- Promote a team approach through cooperation, mutual respect, flexibility, and dependability.
- Guards and respects the confidentiality of WHFPT’s Title X data.
