The Operations Internship
The intern will work directly with the Festival’s operations coordinator in assisting with operational duties ranging from communication with donors, event planning, budget production, writing copy for and updating the Festival’s website, updating information in donor database, and filing. The internship requires a commitment of 8-10 hours per week. Internships can range from three months to a year, and start and finish dates are flexible. Internships must be scheduled during the Texas Book Festival’s operating hours (9 AM through 5 PM, Monday through Friday).
The Operations Applicant
The ideal intern is detail-oriented, experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel, good with people, and interested in the inner-workings of a non-profit organization. Interested applicants must be working towards an undergraduate degree or higher level degree. The work level will be adjusted to the applicant’s level of education and experience.
