Headquartered in Austin, Rainforest Partnership is an international nonprofit dedicated to the protection of tropical rainforest, a critical factor in the health of our planet. We accomplish our mission by working directly with people of the forests, and in collaboration with others who want to enable that work.
We are looking for project management interns. The project management intern will work with the Director of Projects on the organization’s projects in Latin America.
The intern will be supporting the Director of Projects on the following needs:
Organize incoming reports and photos from personnel abroad
Help track project expenditures and activities
Provide information and assistance to DP in completing required paperwork and
reporting associated with each project (e.g. monthly report, updates, project
implementation summaries)
Interact with other personnel who are working in Peru, Ecuador as necessary for project related activities
Research and help develop indicators and a methodology for measuring project success
Help monitor and ensure the completion of all tasks laid out in the project plan
Skills required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project management skills or an aptitude for project management
Proficiency in research, interpreting, and analyzing data
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Resourcefulness and creativity
Spanish speaking and writing skills will be a bonus
Length: Flexible

We are looking for interested volunteers/interns grant writers. The grant writer intern will work with the Director of Projects. The roles and responsibilities of the grant writer intern are listed below:
Primarily responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations in a clear and compelling manner
With the support of the office staff, the grant writer will assemble and submit grant requests, establish and maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines
Should be able to understand and work on budgets for proposals that would fit within the foundation’s funding criteria
Skills required:
Excellent writing, analytical and research skills
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized
Must have experience using online databases and other sources to locate biographical,
financial, and philanthropic information
Ability to meet deadlines
