PROGRAMS INTERN
Glimmer works to lift the women and girls of rural Ethiopia out of extreme poverty. Glimmer’s programs team manages implementation of clustered health, microfinance, education, and microfinance projects through our local implementing partners in Ethiopia. We are looking for a Master’s level Programs Intern who is interested in international development or international affairs for the Fall of 2016. You will assist in data organization and analysis and provide support for our programs team activities.
Position:
Maintain program/project records in our project management database,
Review project completion documents and photos for accuracy,
Review proposals and reports from our construction partners in Ethiopia,
Prepare proposals and reports for donors
Communicate with Addis Ababa, Ethiopia office on program tasks,
Conduct research and other activities as needed.

commitment:
We’re looking for a Master’s level student (upper level undergraduate students will be considered on a case by case basis) to come to our Austin office 20 hours per week this fall (schedule is flexible). Please only apply if you are located in Austin, Texas.

FALL 2016 COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Glimmer works to lift the women and girls of rural Ethiopia out of extreme poverty. Glimmer is looking for a Communications Intern who will assist in a variety of communications and marketing projects and help organize our media content. You will be asked to contribute to ongoing team projects that focus on efficient and engaging communication with Glimmer’s supporters.
position:
- Contribute to projects that enhance Glimmer’s communications to our donors through writing, storytelling, synthesis of programs information and more
- Create organization systems for our media content libraries
- Help build Glimmer’s online presence
- Assist with research related to Glimmer’s marketing, communications and fundraising
- Write and edit copy; assist with visual storytelling
- Assist with other media projects as needed
- Execute tasks on quick deadlines

you’re tech savvy and an AP stylebook wizard. You’re computer literate with Mac experience and know your way around the web. You love grammar and know where to put an Oxford comma. Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign or Google AdWords is a plus, but not required.
commitment:
