Internship
Unpaid
The intern will assist the Administrative Coordinator in the management of donated films and videos to the Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI) and gain a working knowledge of the operations of a small very active non-profit organization. Responsibilities will include inventorying materials into the TAMI database, transcribing item metadata from original objects, evaluating one or more larger collections to determine their suitability for inclusion in the archive, aid in prioritizing collections for preservation, and/or other projects of special interest to the intern.
TAMI is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Texas film heritage. TAMI works to discover Texas “orphan” films and to educate the public about moving image history. TAMI provides an online video library of rediscovered Texas films at www.texasarchive.org; a free digitization program; the Texas Film Round-Up, a traveling educational event highlighting Texas moving image history; and an online educational resource kit for K-12 teachers.
