The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development – Summer Events Intern
The Johnson Center is a nonprofit here in Austin that delivers a number of services to children with autism, developmental delays, and other special needs across the nation and around the globe. Every summer, we throw multiple parties and events that are open to children of all abilities 4-10 in the Austin area. This summer, we will have three educational (and fun!) events in June and July as part of our Junior Series and a huge Back to School Bash in August. We are looking for two dedicated students to intern with us over the summer and help out with these events.
The two-person team will help execute the Junior Series and the Back to School Bash, including making materials/decorations for science experiments, cooking expiriments, coordinating volunteers, overseeing the setting up/cleaning up of each event, and more. We are looking for students who are willing to take initiative and meet deadlines, has excellent attention to detail, and can work well as part of a team to achieve goals. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, work closely with children in both a clinical and nonclinical setting, and be an integral part of one of our biggest summer projects.
Interested students can email wrichardson@johnson-center.org with a resume and references.
