Everfest is looking for a full stack Software Engineer Intern to round out their engineering team. You’ll be joining a company founded by experienced entrepreneurs with $2.5M in seed funding on the cusp of a Series A round. We’re experiencing massive organic growth and scaling to match demand. If ever there was a time to join Everfest, it’s right now. Seriously, like right now.
You will be a huge part of the team that gets us across this next checkpoint — still the Founding Team — and takes us into the next phase. Our current development team is led by a former Founder/CTO/Engineer who built and sold his own fintech company, along with a front-end specialist who makes us all look good. We work in RoR and are building our more UI-heavy core products in React. We also have a full-time designer — now we just need YOU.
You’ll be working on our core offering Everfest Premium, a subscription service scaled across the festival landscape, as well as everything needed to keep our teams humming along. We’re building the world’s central authority on festivals, and you can put your stamp on that.
We are currently located on Lake Austin Blvd near Magnolia Cafe. We eat a lot of french toast. We also offer your standard casual Austin startup “dress code”, pre-IPO stock options and a team that is above average at the Internet. Join us!

What You Will Do at Everfest
– Release, monitor, and support functionality for our Everfest PRO users
– Make quick, continual improvements to support user engagement
– Expand our current regression test coverage
What We Expect
– 1-2 years experience in at least one programming language
– Comfortable with front-end and back-end development
– Knowledge of development tool creation and application architecture design
– Great communications skills and passion for learning
– Desire to be part of a world class team focused on achieving amazing user experience
– Background in computer science, engineering, math or statistics preferred
– Entrepreneurial and self-driven
Skills
– 1+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails (or similar language/framework)
– Knowledge in front-end JS libraries such as JQuery, AngularJS, or ReactJS
– Knowledge with relational databases and SQL – PostgreSQL experience is a plus
– Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and coding/testing best practices
