Ahoy BDP Students! Are you looking for an amazing Internship for Spring 2018?
The Colorado River Alliance is proud to be a partner with UT’s Bridging Disciplines Program, having supported numerous successful BDP Intern placements over the past couple of years. This year, we are recruiting bilingual (English-Spanish) interns to teach in our award-winning environmental education programs.
Internships with the Colorado River Alliance are powerful professional development experiences. Interns commit an average of 15 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. M-F. They spend 10 hours teaching in our state-of-the-art environmental education programs for elementary schoolchildren and middle schoolchildren. Interns spend an additional 5 hours on Special Projects related to the Alliance’s educational mission and Intern interests. Much of our environmental education programming and Special Projects take place outdoors.
Alliance Interns receive comprehensive environmental educator training, professional development consultations with our Staff, and they are also provided networking and resume building opportunities. Our internships are suitable for students with a wide range of backgrounds – aspiring scientists, educators, business professionals, athletes, and healthcare workers have all succeeded with us; the key to their success is being motivated, organized, and passionate.
Students interested in applying for a spring 2018 internship should apply online as soon as possible. Those with questions can email Program Director Geoff Hensgen at: geoff@coloradoriver.org.
