Communities in Schools at Harris Elementary is looking for Fall 2018 Interns!
The overall goal of this agency is drop-out prevention. Services include individual, group and family counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, home visits, case management, resource identification, group activities and outings, mentoring, tutoring, and enrichment activities. The student must be open to exploring his/her own cultural attitudes and beliefs given the demographics of the school population. Student must be committed to the social work value of social justice. This is an excellent opportunity for individual and group work as well as gaining experience in macro social work through the school institution.
If you are a social work, psychology, sociology, education, or human development major you are strongly encouraged to apply! Bilingual language abilities preferred but not required.
