About the Campus Environmental Center
The Campus Environmental Center (CEC) is a community of students who explore, learn about, and act on contemporary environmental issues on campus and in the Austin area. We welcome diverse interests, ideas, and perspectives as we grow together to become effective environmental change-makers now and in the future. We are proud to be the oldest and largest student organization at The University of Texas Austin for those interested in the environment, and we are sponsored by the UT Office of Sustainability.
Spring 2022 Internship Opportunities
The CEC has 3 paid undergraduate leadership positions opening up for spring 2022. These positions require a 2 semester commitment. Pay is $13/hr, 10hrs/week.
Green Greeks Project Team Leader (2 openings)
Green Greeks is a project within the Campus Environmental Center (CEC) student organization which is sponsored by the Office of Sustainability. The Green Greeks project team works to create and implement sustainable practices throughout Greek Life and generally promote a greener off-campus lifestyle for all students. As a Green Greeks Project Leader, you are the leader and “face” of the project. You represent the CEC, the Office of Sustainability (OS), and UT in this role. You must be a positive role model and work to create a culture of inclusion within your project and the CEC. You are expected to encourage and support Green Greeks Team Members and the campus community to learn about and be involved in environmental action and sustainability at UT.

Green Events Project Team Leader (1 opening)
Green Events is a project within the Campus Environmental Center (CEC) student organization which is sponsored by the Office of Sustainability. In this role you will be co-leader of the Green Events project as well as a member of the CEC Leadership Council. The Green Events team works with other UT student organizations to help make their events more sustainable. As a Green Events Project Leader, you are the leader and “face” of the project. You represent the CEC, the Office of Sustainability (OS), and UT in this role. You must be a positive role model and work to create a culture of inclusion within your project and the CEC. You are expected to encourage and support Team Members and the campus community to learn about and be involved in sustainability at UT.
