Johnson Center for Health and Development Spring 2023 Internships

Clinical Intern

The Johnson Center for Child Health & Development is a non-profit organization that provides supports and services to children with autism, developmental delays and other special needs. We serve children and families from all over the country and have multi-disciplinary clinic that provides diagnostic and assessment services, counseling, feeding therapy, behavioral therapy, and nutrition and medical intervention and support.

We are looking for a student who has an interest in childhood development and the clinical treatment and supports provided to children with developmental disorders and their families. The right student is eager to learn and be a part of the overall process of providing meaningful support and therapeutic intervention. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about multi-disciplinary care.  We regularly place interns in counseling, diagnosis, medical, and nutritional support positions.

Schedule is typically offered in morning or afternoon blocks; office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Events and Programs Intern

The Johnson Center for Child Health & Development is a non-profit organization that provides supports and services to children with autism, developmental delays and other special needs. We serve children and families from all over the country. We host a number of community events, scholarship fund raisers, and educational opportunities for families and professionals, including holiday events, educational webinars, and onsite workshops. We are looking for a dedicated intern to help plan, promote, and support these critical events and classes.

We are looking for a student who is willing to take initiative, meet deadlines, has good attention to detail, and can work with multiple clinicians and professionals to execute their plans. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, work closely with professionals, families, and children in both a clinical and nonclinical setting, and be an integral part of our team. Schedule is typically offered in morning or afternoon blocks; office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Research Intern

The Johnson Center for Child Health & Development is a non-profit organization that provides supports and services to children with autism, developmental delays and other special needs. We serve children and families from all over the country and have a diverse and active research program. We are looking for a dedicated intern to help with data collection and entry, study promotion, and more.

We are looking for a student who is willing to take initiative, meet deadlines, has good attention to detail, and can work with multiple clinicians and professionals to execute their plans. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, work closely with professionals, families, and children in both a clinical and nonclinical setting, and be an integral part of our team. Schedule is typically offered in morning or afternoon blocks; office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm.
