Capitol School of Austin (CSA) is a private, non-profit school for children ages 2 years – 4th grade who are identified with speech, language and learning differences. CSA classrooms are taught by speech pathologists and special educators. Although the groups have a smaller student : teacher ratio, having a third set of hands in a classroom is often helpful for staff to provide students the modifications and accommodations they need to be a successful in a group learning environment. A Bridging Disciplines intern has the opportunity to work hands on in a classroom, discuss and practice behavior management using Conscious Discipline techniques, and engage in a case-study of an individual in your group if desired. There are internship openings in preschool and school-age classrooms. Marketing Intern Position with Vuka Collective
Position Overview
The Marketing Intern assists in shaping public and member perception of Vuka Collective and our family of brands. You’ll partner with our Head of Marketing to support marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive sales, create dynamic events, and ultimately generate new business leads. This is an opportunity ideal for an undergrad focused on marketing, communications, or related field. The ideal candidate enjoys variety: will support marketing efforts such as content creation, project management, and social media scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
● Work with Impact Hub Marketing Manager to gather weekly content for newsletters for community members and monthly newsletters for the greater Impact Hub community.
● Update the Impact Hub events calendar with regularly; Manage and support the curation of a monthly content calendar for both Impact Hub and Gather Venues.
● Proof marketing material in support of public programs, including our social impact programs, wellness programs, and strategic partnerships.
● Support the maintenance of a library of assets, images, and videos to support marketing efforts.
● Reach out to potential writers and bloggers for opportunities to be featured in Impact Hub and Gather Venues’ blogs.
Social Media
● Manage the social media editorial calendar for Vuka Collective, Impact Hub Austin, Gather Venues and draft content if necessary.
● Support consistent updates on Yelp and other event and co-working space marketing channels (e.g., Coworker.com, WeddingWire, The Knot, Peerspace, etc.).
Project Management
● Monitor marketing industry news and emerging trends.
● Monitor other Austin and market leading co-working and event spaces and report on trends.
● Help coordinate and assist in ongoing projects like the Ambassador Program, Won’t You Be My Coworker, and the Heart of Impact.
