Apply to Present Your Research at Student Research Conference – February 20th Deadline

The 4th annual Collin College Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference takes takes place April 25 & 26, 2013.

Consider presenting your original research (including Literature Reviews, Research Papers, Research Manuscripts, Research Reports, Service Learning Research, Scientific Experiment Research, Exploratory Research, etc.) at this conference! The submission deadline is February 20, 2013. Submissions can come in the form of Completed Research Papers, Abstracts, Full Panels, Round Tables, Performances, and Visual Displays.

Freeman Stipend for Internships (Summer or Fall) in Asia – March 1st Deadline

The Freeman Stipend for Internships in Asia provides students interested in completing an internship in Asia with the opportunity to do so by reducing the financial barrier that may prevent some students from pursuing an internship abroad.

Students who are U.S. Citizens and who are planning on completing a minimum of an 8-10 week internship in one of the following Asian countries are eligible to apply: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Apply today for the chance to be awarded a $2,500 – $4,000 scholarship for study abroad. The application is simple and no recommendations are required!

Do you fit the eligibility requirements below?

Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident to apply
Internship must be a minimum of 8-10 weeks in length
Recipients must complete a service requirement either during the placement or post-placement
Financial need (current FAFSA on file with UT Austin)

Priority will be give to undergraduate students and those with demonstrated financial need.

Glenn Maloney Memorial Scholarship

The Student Activities area of the Office of the Dean of Students invites qualified students to apply for the Glenn Maloney Memorial Scholarship. Three scholarships of $400.00 will be awarded in memory of Glenn W. Maloney who served as the Associate Dean of Students for seven years.

Students who exemplify Glenn Maloney’s character and positive impact on students at the University of Texas at Austin and meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.
