Internships at Interfaith Action of Central Texas

Interfaith Action of Central Texas Internships
Summer Refugee Youth Program: The iACT Summer Refugee Youth Program program runs from mid-June until the very beginning of August. Our camp is designed to help refugee children transition into their new life and education in the US. Most of our students speak no English and the level of formal education they have had before they reach us varies. Our goal is to teach children in the program the cultural, academic, and social skills they will need when they attend school (often for the very first time) in the Fall.

All of the internships opportunities listed below are part of the summer program, and run for about 7 weeks from mid-June until the beginning of August. Interns will need to be at our downtown locations (Central Presbyterian Church) from about 8:30am-12:00pm Monday-Thursday while the program is running. The following internship roles are available:
  • Registration and Attendance
  • Organization and Logistics
  • Volunteer and Tech Support
  • Documenting and Planning
  • Student Progress Monitoring
