Video Production Team
Cooperation Texas seeks a team of 3-5 interns to edit and produce educational videos about various US worker co-ops for our Cooperation @ Work video series. This internship is for the fall of 2012, with the option of extending the project through the spring of 2013:
- Work cooperatively to complete 5-10 short educational videos
- Create a consistent theme and feel for the series
- Communicate with worker co-ops participating in the project to collect footage
- Edit footage into 3-5 minute videos
- Work with staff and event planning intern to present Cooperation @ Work video series at events
Requirements:
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree in progress or higher
- Subject/Major: Radio/Film/Television; Marketing; Public Relations; Communications
- Graphic design skills
- Demonstrated interest in the cooperative economy
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Spanish-language proficiency preferred, not required
- Ability to work in a group
- Computer literate, including Word, Internet and video editing software
- Available at least 10-12 hours per week

Research & Design Intern
Cooperation Texas seeks a research and graphic design intern for the fall of 2012.
Responsibilities:
- Research the nature and benefits of worker-owned cooperatives at the local, national and international level
- Research economic inequality in Texas in general and Austin in particular
- Craft an infographic on the status of inequality in Austin and/or Texas
- Craft an infographic that creatively depicts information gathered
Requirements:
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree in progress or higher
- Subject/Major: Radio/Film/Television; Marketing; Public Relations; Communications
- Graphic design skills
- Demonstrated interest in the cooperative economy
- Strong written and visual communication
- Spanish-language proficiency preferred, not required
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literate, including Word, Internet and design software
- Available at least 10-12 hours per week

Cooperation Texas seeks a Research & Development intern for the organization’s Cooperative Business Institute program.
Responsibilities:
- Research and review existing literature on worker cooperative development
- Conduct market & industry research.
- Assist with feasibility studies & business planning
- Work with staff on project management
- General program support for the Cooperative Business Institute
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree in progress or higher
- Subject/Major: Financing; Business Management; Economics/Political Economy; Marketing
- Research-oriented and organized
- Demonstrated interest in business development and the cooperative economy
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Spanish-language proficiency preferred, not required
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literate, including Word, Internet and databases
- Available at least 10-12 hours per week

Event Planning Intern
Cooperation Texas seeks an event planning intern for the fall of 2012.
Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with staff and volunteers on events
- Solicit silent auction items and services from local businesses and organizations
- Assist with outreach for events
- Design marketing materials for events
- Serve as coordinator on the day of events
- Other tasks as assigned
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree in progress or higher
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Graphic design skills
- Demonstrated interest in the cooperative economy
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Spanish-language proficiency preferred, not required
- Ability to work independently and in a group
- Computer literate, including Word, Internet and databases
- Available at least 10-12 hours per week
