CareBOX Program is a start-up nonprofit in Austin, TX providing free care supplies to cancer patients to help prevent malnutrition, infections, and injuries from falls.
As an Operations Intern, you will work directly with the ED, Program Director & Supply Chain Manager of Affect Change, Inc. to aid in the development & success of the CareBOX Program. You will have the opportunity to try your hand in advertising, marketing, brand development, supply chain and distribution.
Responsibilities
As an Operations intern you will be responsible for championing various projects. As a start-up non-profit, we appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit & excellent candidates must be self-starters. Interns with the CareBOX Program will have their own specific projects, and will work together, with volunteers & staff alike, to help keep the organization moving in the right direction. A wide variety of projects are available, including but not limited to; community research projects, receiving inventory, packing patient supplies, event planning, and working booths at various events.
Requirements
Applicants must be either currently working towards a degree or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree. We are looking for interns who are passionate, dedicated, hardworking, creative and entrepreneurial minded. Being a detail-oriented, self-starter is a must. CareBOX Program is a fast paced environment with a multitude of opportunities to learn and master a wide range of transferable skills. A candidate who is able to commit 15-20hrs per week is preferred.
