Children of All Nations seeks French speaking interns

Are you a junior or senior in college?  Consider an internship with Great Wall China Adoption/Children of All Nations.   Interns work with our outreach and marketing team, case managers, waiting child counselors, and referral teams to receive hands-on experience with families in the adoption process. The internship is perfect for students interested in psychology, sociology, social work, human development and family sciences, communications, marketing and business. Best part? Internships can be custom-tailored to your specific major and specific area(s) of interest!

We currently have internship positions available for students who are fluent in French. This is a great opportunity to practice reading, translating, writing in French and speaking French with our representatives in other countries.

Global EDGE Internship Program in Summer 2015

What is the Global EDGE Internship Program?

Global EDGE is an exciting new internship program for UT students who are interested in gaining hands-on professional experience in dynamic Asian financial centers. Singapore and Shanghai are modern, innovative and thriving economies boasting a wide range of industries including green technology, business and finance, public relations and advertising, information technology, fashion design and scientific research and development.

Students are placed in high quality customized internships at local, national or multinational companies in key industry sectors. Interns work 30 to 40 hours per week over the course of 8 weeks in the summer. Through their internships, students have the opportunity to enhance their professional development, build an impressive resume, acquire marketable professional skills and gain a competitive edge in the job market, all while enjoying the culture in Asia’s most exciting cities. The program includes career counseling and organized networking events, allowing students to build strategic professional networks.

Generous stipends ranging from $4000 to $5000 are available to support students who qualify.

Enabling Information Retrieval from Conversational Speech Archives via Crowdsourcing

Students with computer science and math/statistics backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this paid research assistant position on a research project featured in WIRED magazine.

Teaching and teacher education in the digital age

Dr. Joan Hughes seeks undergraduate researcher to assist with data analysis, interviewing, and writing for project assessing early career school teachers and their use of digital technology.

Statistical analysis and machine learning for neuroscience data

Students with basic knowledge of neuroscience and statistical inference are needed to assist in research for this project, with the possibility of using the experience as a requirement for earning a certificate in statistical computing from the department of Statistics and Data Sciences.
