“When I first started at Water to Thrive, one of my supervisors explained that I would spend time on a

project that I could present to future employers. She ensured me that I would not spend my time

organizing the office or on coffee runs. The Water to Thrive staff made sure that my internship was filled

“I truly enjoyed my time interning at Water to Thrive. I have heard countless stories of my friends having

internships filled with meaningless work and uncaring coworkers, but that could not be more opposite

from Water to Thrive! Everyone at this office was kind, enthusiastic, and selflessly dedicated to their

work. Susanne showed genuine interest in my own professional development and worked with me to

assign me tasks that were engaging and meaningful. I was able to learn so much about sustainable

development in Africa and about the beautiful cultures that Water to Thrive works with. This has

impacted my own future aspirations as well -°©‐ it was because of my positive experience at Water to Thrive

that I decided to work in development in Swaziland with the Peace Corps next year. My internship with

Water to Thrive was a wonderful part of my summer and I would highly recommend pursuing an

internship with this organization if you have any interest in nonprofit work!”
