Cook, Learn, Grow has PAID internships for Kid’s Cooking Instructors for our Summer and After School Programs.

Responsibilities include:
- Teach children’s hands-on afterschool cooking classes in Austin, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Leander, Round Rock
- Prepare for Cook, Learn, Grow lessons; run class related errands including but not limited to grocery shopping, prepping/cleaning for class, etc.
- Maintain safe and engaging classroom environment Qualifications:
- Be Teachable
- Possess strong cooking skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience working face-to-face with children
- Passionate about teaching children about food
- Excellent ability to engage and manage children
- Able to commit for a 4-month minimum
- Available 2-5pm, M-F, 1-5 days depending on enrollment (Spring & Fall)
- Available 8-5, M-Th June-mid August (Summer)
- Pass background check & fingerprinting
- Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Responsible and trustworthy
- The internship will begin in April with a light time commitment, tentatively less than 10 hours. Initially, most of your time will be spent will be spent completing on-site training (see below), as well as weekly meetings with a mentor. Other time commitments will be non-classroom hours (see below), completing computer related tasks. The internship time commitment will get busier as we move into Summer camp season. The internship requires a commitment through mid to late August and will carry the possibility for a part time position in the fall after school program.
o Non classroom hours, which are done from home, will last 11-12 weeks, ranging from 5-15 hours per week. Pay is $8/hour
o On-site training, depending on enrollment: Pay is $20 per class during training which should take 6-7 days, then $40 per class once you are promoted to independent instructor status.

Cook, Learn, Grow is looking for the next Top Social Media Intern! Do you have what it takes? We want you to showcase your social media skills for a chance at our internship program. Here’s your opportunity to create, launch, manage and evaluate campagins for our social media platforms.

Responsibilities include:
• Create, launch, manage and evaluate social media campaigns for our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube platforms.
Qualifications:
- Be Teachable
- Have experience creating and managing social media campaigns
- Possess skills and experience creating videos
- Possess strong writing skills and cooking skills
- Able to commit for a 4-month minimum
- Available 2-5pm, M-F, 1-5 days depending on enrollment (Spring & Fall)
- Available 8-5, M-Th June-mid August (Summer)

Part 1: Cooking video.
- Choose your favorite recipe to cook that you would like to share with the world!
- Create a video of your cooking lesson; up to 2 minutes maximum.
o Include prep instructions, ingredients, directions and a shot of the final results.
o Include attached CookLearnGrow logo in video and name of campaign: “Interns Who Cook!”
o Please be sure that all recorded content is kid and family friendly. Be mindful of background noises and images.
Part 2: Submit a Social Media Plan for the mock campaign: “CookLearnGrow: Interns Who Cook” campaign. Include plans for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Include Objectives, Action Items and Key Metrics.
Part 1: Submission deadline: April 15, 2016. Part 2: Submission deadline: April 29, 2016
Submit your video and social media plan to info@cooklearngrow.com. All submissions will be reviewed and considered for approval. Successful candidates will be notified by May 9, 2016. The internship begins May 2016 and goes through end of summer. Successful candidates must be able to commit minimally 15-20 hours a week for the duration of the internship.
