Business and Web/Media Design internships with Affect Change, Inc.

Affect Change, Inc., a pending new non-profit based in Austin is currently working on a new project. Our project, ColorCancer, aims to spread awareness, offer hope and encouragement, and raise funds to support cancer related causes. Our motto is, “Every Cancer has a Color. As a Business Intern, you will work directly with the ED of Affect Change, Inc. in expansion of the ColorCancer program. No coffee making. You will have a huge hand in advertising, marketing, brand development, and distribution. This job will include helping to put on various events in the Austin community.

As a Web/Media Design Intern, you will help design and monitor ColorCancer’s online and public presence.

General Job description:  To support JBL Strategies’ Principal Jane Baxter Lynn in some or all of the following areas depending on course needs and student’s personal goals:

  • Business Development
  • Communications and Marketing outreach
  • Website and Social Media activity
  • Project Research
  • Administration
  • Volunteer commitments – U.S. Green Building Council, Wine & Food Foundation of Texas, Canine Companions for Independence, Association for Women in Communications Career Services
  • Program and Event Planning

  • Prepared to do both innovative and everyday work
  • Ideally a good writer
  • Highly organized
  • Willing to commit to working hard and, once committed, being reliable.
