The Fund for the Public Interest is a national non-profit organization that works to build support for progressive organizations across the country. We’ve run campaigns for USPIRG, Environment America, the Human Rights Campaign, the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, and Fair Share Alliance.
We are currently launching an office in Austin for Environment Texas to work on a campaign to protect honeybees! Bees pollinate most of our food…everything from apples to broccoli to strawberries and coffee beans. Currently, beekeepers are reporting losses of 30% of their bee colonies every year. The causes of colony collapse are varied, but one of the biggest is the use of a class of bee-killing insecticides called neonics. We’re calling on the EPA to place a moratorium on the approval of new neonics.
This is your chance to spend your summer working for a great cause, while gaining valuable campaign leadership experience.

The Fund for the Public Interest is looking for paid activists to help us generate the grassroots support it will take to win, by engaging people at the door in communities across the state. Rapid promotion is available, as we are working to expand our presence quickly in the next year.
