Jewish Studies Internship Program – Spring 2022

 

About the Internship Program in Jewish Studies

The Internship Program in Jewish Studies bridges what you’ve learned in the classroom with real-world experience through a semester-long internship placement at a local non-profit organization in the areas of arts and culture, social justice, and/or social service.

The internship program is open to all degree seeking undergraduate students at UT Austin, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality or gender.

Internships with the Miracle Foundation – Spring 2022

Miracle Foundation is part of a global network of non-profit organizations leading the worldwide movement to end the need for orphanages in our lifetime. FosterShare™ Intern – Spring 2022

About this Position

The FosterShare™ Intern works with the FosterShare™ Project Manager and Program Team to assist with research, gathering FosterShare™ App feedback, provide support at events, assisting with data management, and more. The intern will have the opportunity to attend team meetings and learn from seasoned staff.

Miracle Foundation offers both formal (for class credit) and informal internships. Interns are required to donate 5-10 hours per week of their time; work is currently conducted on a remote/in-person hybrid schedule at our Austin, TX office.

Requirements

Miracle interns must exemplify the following:

  • Global perspective, belief in our mission, and a passion for making a difference
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of of computer proficiency, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with effective time-management skills
  • Strong work ethic, the ability to follow through, and willingness to do what needs to be done to help achieve our mission
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and conscientious
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude
  • Professional, prompt, and dresses appropriately
  • Must be older than 18 or in college

Marketing/Fundraising Intern – Spring 2022

About this Position

The Marketing/Fundraising (“Development”) intern works with the Development team to assist with research, donor communications, data management, and more. The intern will have the opportunity to attend team meetings and learn from seasoned staff.

Miracle Foundation offers both formal (for class credit) and informal internships. Interns are required to donate 5-10 hours per week of their time; work is currently conducted on a remote/in-person hybrid schedule at our Austin, TX office.

Project MALES Student Mentoring Program – Spring 2022

Project MALES

Overview

The Project MALES Student Mentoring Program connects undergraduate students from the University of Texas at Austin with Austin-area high school and middle school male students. Partnering with Central Texas school districts, Project MALES Student Mentors work to improve the educational attainment and college-going competencies of young men of color while also providing a safe space for these young students to discuss responsible manhood.

Mission

The Project MALES Student Mentoring Program collaborates with local schools and communities to implement and sustain effective mentoring services for male students of color, focused on increasing post-secondary success.

Vision

Advancing equitable educational outcomes for male students of color at the local, state, and national level.
