Getting Started with YouTube

But over the last few years, YouTube has grown by leaps and bounds and become the third most-visited Website (after Google and Facebook). It’s also quickly outpacing both network and cable television, especially with younger viewers.

Getting Started with Adobe Connect

adobeconnectAdobe Connect is one of the remote conferencing tools available for use by UT faculty and staff. It does not directly integrate with Canvas, but you can use it to conduct virtual lectures, conference calls, virtual offices hours, and more.

The first thing you’ll need to do is register via UT’s Service Now website.

Screencasting Basics

Wikipedia defines “screencast” as a digital recording of a computer screen, often containing audio narration.

The UT Box Mobile App

utboxStudents can use UT Box for lots of things. And, instructors can use it to make their own lives and their students’ lives a little easier with the UT Box Mobile App. No matter where you, or your students are, you can access and share files all within your Canvas course.

For example, if a class assignment requires students to record and submit a video as part of a class project, they can record that video on their smart phone, then upload that video file from their phone straight to their UT Box account.
