UT Resource Recovery is hiring for 2026-2027! Interns will work either at Main Campus or the JJ Pickle Research Campus depending on role. The Resource Recovery student internship program offers students from all majors and backgrounds the hands-on opportunity to make an impact related to zero waste on campus.
This year, we’re hiring for:

Zero Waste Intern: Join one of three project teams implementing & advancing campus zero waste initiatives.
- Zero Waste Quality Control
- Zero Waste Implementation & Engagement
- Social Media & Outreach (separate application)

Surplus Reuse Store Intern: Apply for either the Thursday or Saturday shift, helping operate the UT Surplus REuse Store.

Surplus Online Auction Intern: Help manage online surplus auctions from item research to listing preparation.
