Greenlights for Nonprofit Success Summer and Fall Internships – Applications Due March 30

Greenlights is…

  • An affordable provider of nonprofit strengthening and support services
  • An independent, objective 501(c)(3) that understands the unique challenges nonprofits face
  • A voice for and convener of the Central Texas nonprofit community

Internship Program

Greenlights’ Internship Program is a great hands-on experience for anyone who wants to learn about the nonprofit sector. This is a project-based internship program directly supporting the mission and goals of Greenlights. Joining our team as an intern requires a commitment of 12-20 hours per week, and the intern must be available at least three days per week with a regular schedule. Greenlights’ internships are unpaid, however, we are happy to work with you if you would like to receive course credit.

Current internships are available in the following focus areas: Consulting, Development and Membership, Marketing and Communications, and Education. Greenlights works with each intern’s skills and interests to develop a successful project work plan and professional development program. Visit http://www.greenlights.org/jobs/openings-at-greenlights for more information.

Qualifications

Greenlights actively support interns in their nonprofit interests, but in return we have high expectations of commitment to our values and mission. We’ve found that students with curiosity, an eagerness to learn, a little nonprofit experience, and a sense of fun get the most out of a Greenlights internship.

Greenlights interns are undergraduate and graduate students with a:

  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Ability to take initiative managing projects in a fast paced and multi-faceted work environment
  • Solid technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
