Global Kick Summer Internships

Globe Kick Social Media Internship

Globe Kick is a new-age travel company that seeks to facilitate remote-based living and working experiences for the next generation of worker. Many employees and workers today are freelancers or have the ability to work outside of the office environment, meaning they can work from anywhere in the world. Globe Kick is the company that will help these workers live and work remotely from Europe, Africa, Asia and beyond.

We are looking for a summer interns that are interested in changing the way the world works. Those that are excited by the new economy that allows people to work remotely and who are also excited about different cultures and travel. Please apply if you’re looking to work for a high-growth travel-based startup. We are looking to launch or inaugural trip–three months, three cities and thirty workers–this fall and need dedicated hard-working interns to help us get off the ground.

The social media intern will join an open-minded, easy-to-work with group of young professionals in a fun work environment.

The intern should be entrepreneurial, honest, self motivated, organized and reliable.  The interns primary duties would involve the management and distribution of content (videos, pictures and articles) for one or more social channels.  A secondary component of the role would be using our social handles to get into conversations which exist outside our community.

Manage Content

– Be the voice of Globe Kick. Help cultivate a community through our topics and messaging

– Build and schedule content distribution for your assigned channel(s)

Community Management

– Engage with community, answering questions, and showing attention to all mentions

– Explore ideas for how to engage and expand the community through campaigns or posts with a request for action

Social Listening & Outreach

– Engage with users and companies outside of our community. 

– The social media intern will need to explore keywords and hashtags to discover relevant discussions to be a part of.

The content strategy intern will join an open-minded, easy-to-work with group of young professionals in a fun work environment. The intern should be entrepreneurial, honest, self motivated, organized and reliable. The intern’s primary duties would include the creation of a content strategy for online company assets such as blog and social properties.  A secondary component of the role is helping to form company strategy for entering new markets and even helping to determine which and what markets we will enter.

Content Creation Discovery

– Assist in producing graphics, memes, videos

– Help create content strategy and editorial calendar for company blog

– Create a content repository for ideas concerning blog posts and social assets  

Innovation

– Explore new ways to reach out and appeal to the Globe Kick potential customers through innovative content

– Examples of future projects would include a weekly show hosted on YouTube or Google Hangout, guest interviews, etc.

– Find and manage relationships with guest bloggers who align with our messaging.
