Texas Appleseed Fall 2016 Internship
Texas Appleseed is pleased to offer a small number of internships in a variety of project areas for students of law and public policy, as well as journalism and communications. Students work under the guidance of experienced professionals and attorneys. Interested students should be dependable, have a desire to learn, and should demonstrate strong organizational and writing skills.
Video Intern
Texas Appleseed is offering a paid internship for a video intern. The intern will report directly to the communications director, but the intern will be able to work across project areas and with other directors at our nonprofit. The intern will help produce timely videos for our blog (The Core), help brainstorm concepts for other videos related to our work, and help conduct video interviews with key populations in Texas. When available, the intern may also assist with social media posts and other basic PR functions such as updating media lists, writing, and conducting research.
Requirements:
- You must be available to work at least 10-15 hours per week during the fall semester.
- Candidate must be adept at shooting video on an iPhone, iPad or DSLR camera, as well as skilled at editing video in Final Cut Pro (preferred), Adobe Premiere (preferred) or iMovie.
- Candidate should have an interest in telling stories through video, social and economic justice, marketing, advertising, communications or public relations.
